Windows Startup Utility Utility is a free utility working at Windows startup and to clean a number of cases as well as the cleaning of the registry. The selection of items to be cleaned is customizable and on the following list: Cookies, this lets you delete all the data that Web sites store on your computer without your knowledge. Temporary Internet Files. These files are used as cache during websites visit. Analysis of these files can lead to a violation of your privacy by allowing rebuilding your surfing history. In addition, these files take up a lot of space on the system hard drive. Recent Files List. This list, available from the Start menu, allows finding files and documents which the user accesses. Delete this list allows the start menu to display faster. Temporary files. These files are created by applications that use them temporarily. These files tend to accumulate over time and take unnecessary use of disk space. At system startup, these files are logically unnecessary and it is important to remove them in order to free the system disk space. The Windows MRU. These inscriptions are located in the Windows Registry and contain information on the recent files used, as well as data about auto complete for most components of Windows. MRU is the acronym for Most Recently Used and is a generic term for the files and terms most recently used in the Windows interface (file search, auto complete, etc...). The Microsoft MRU. As for the Windows MRU, this task concerns the MRU of most Microsoft products including Microsoft Office products, FrontPage, SharePoint, etc... Once Windows Startup Utility starts, it remains visible in the Windows traybar in the form of an icon from which it is possible to configure tasks to be performed, start the software with Windows, run the selected tasks and close the utility.
